Sonny Bill Williams and Paul Gallen have moved closer to a mooted boxing bout with convincing wins on Saturday’s Footy Show Fight Night at Sydney’s Allphones Arena.

Dual international Williams (7-0, 3 KOs) was too quick and relentless for the far more experienced Chauncy Welliver, losing just one of the eight rounds across the three judges’ cards.
