Adam Johnson arrested on suspicion of having sex with 15-year-old – reports

Durham Police have confirmed that they have arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of having sex with a 15-year-old schoolgirl, with The Sun reporting that it is Sunderland’s Adam Johnson.

The England international was apparently questioned by police when three unmarked police cars and a van arrived at his £1.85m house in County Durham this morning. The newspaper also claimed that police found a loaded gun at the property, although it was said to be legally owned by the player.
