Newcastle’s Davide Santon confirms he is joining Internazionale on loan

Italy defender Davide Santon has confirmed on his Facebook page that he is set to leave Newcastle to join Internazionale.

Santon, 24, moved to Newcastle from Inter in 2011 but has found his first-team opportunities limited this season. West Ham and West Bromwich Albion were also interested in signing the left-back but having travelled to Italy on Sunday, Santon confirmed he is set to move to his former club initially on loan with a permanent transfer likely to follow in the summer.
