Fernando Alonso has left hospital but will miss this week’s final pre-season testing following his crash on Sunday, McLaren have announced.

The 33-year-old hit the wall at turn three of the Circuit de Catalunya and was airlifted to hospital for precautionary checks – despite being conscious.
