Alan Irvine sacked by West Bromwich after less than seven months in charge

• Tim Sherwood and Tony Pulis in frame to take over

• Irvine succeeded Pepe Mel at the Hawthorns in the summer

Alan Irvine has been sacked by West Bromwich Albion after less than seven months in charge, with Tim Sherwood and Tony Pulis in the frame to succeed him.


The Scot was a surprise appointment to succeed Spaniard Pepe Mel in the summer but has led the Baggies to just four wins from 19 Premier League games.
